Tog's weekender bag is an ode to Aladdin and his magical lamp.

Though my name is not Aladdin, in ages past, Imagination scooped me up and turned me into a dreamer. Stories fill my soul, even on the dreariest & darkest of days. I don't know where they come from. As it turns out, they are my saviour, the light of my little world.

The wings of fancy visit me every day. Which brings me to the topic of my feet.

I am thankful they are beneath me, without them I am not convinced I would stay anchored to this earthly passageway.

My feet have taught me a few things:

I am on my way to somewhere. I am small, so best keep my belongings to what I can carry, the lighter the better. They prefer to be covered on bumpy roads. They are magically empowered to move in all directions, but the pace mysteriously changes from day to day. They and I get tired and need to sleep. Slow and steady works just fine.

Other peddlers often pass me by, with different sized feet that seem to go at lightening speed. Wowsers. The wings of fancy told me it's ok to be left in their cloud of dust and exactly right to be sure of my own whereabouts. So, I am and do, I stay with my feet. But, I smile and marvel at the story that must be lighting up their minds. The great secret here is that no one is actually keeping score or time. It is impossible to be late or miss out on anything.

Phew. That's good news for any peddler with a bag full of dreams, a lamp, a couple pairs of shoes and a quick change of clothes.

This piece is hand stitched and made to order, please allow up to 8 weeks for completion. Could be sooner, depending on my current roster of projects!

• solid antiqued brass Raccagni (made in Italy) zipper measuring 19 1/4"

• 6 solid antiqued brass feet, to protect bottom of bag.

• two pockets: 9.5" length x 6" height x 1” width
