and this is WinstonJunior.... the first.

Slightly more hip than his pops...he lives life on the down low & prefers sneakers to suits, and surfing to cigars.

of course Winston Jr. comes with his own story...and this is it:

A lovely client of mine was gifted with a Tog messenger bag several years back.After days on end of love and use it recently needed a bit of resurrection magic for the front flap. It had torn away from the side seams.

Uggh. The brown oil tanned leather was more beautiful now...it had gathered such a gorgeous patina and so much personality...it felt utterly wrong to take it away.

But no matter how I tried to imagine keeping it there...my only option was to entirely replace the flap with a brand new one...and so I did.

But that's when I met Winston Jr.

He just appeared in my mind and I saw him as a mini version of his pops. A satchel pieced together with the remnants of that gorgeous worn flap.

I just decided to add a bit of grey to extend his width.

As it turns out he had joined Winston Sr. on his recent trip to Bali and also returned to Vancouver with pockets full of lucky coins...12 of them.

It's his favourite number. I put one on the front of his t-shirt.

And that's the story.

I was so delighted that I could send him home with his owner after all.
