I had a dream all my life to be in Ireland for my birthday.

You see, I was born on St. Patricks Day, March 17th. Somehow I believed this made me part Irish…and wouldn’t that be a wonderful thing!

Well, dreams do come true.

In March of 2022 I was gifted by a friend to be in Ireland for the entire month. We stayed just south of Dublin in a quaint, seaside town named Dún Laoghaire. Exactly…unless you are a wee Gaelic Faery or have been there yourself, you are wondering how on earth to pronounce these two words. Say them as if they are spelled like this:

Done Leary.

We walked into Dublin a few times…just to absorb the life of everything around us. Once in Dublin…oh boy…where does one begin.

A pub for a pint? People watching? Eaves dropping just to hear the sound of Irish people? Trinity College Library to find Harry Potter? A, hop-on hop-off, double decker bus tour through the city? The Guinness Factory? Shopping along Grafton Street? The Temple Bar? The St. Paddy’s Day Parade? etc. etc.

I decided to tick off all those boxes. Lucky me. Thank you, Life!
