There is this point in time…when what was…is utterly compelled to become something different. It is an unstoppable force that begins as a whispering wind. It catches you off guard, sweeps you off your feet, and leaves you completely unawares. Until the moment you become aware.

And then there you are…recognizing for the first time…a part of you that you could never have imagined was even there.

Renaissance…is magical. It patiently treads the heights of beauty, until your feet finally feel at home being there.

I tried to express this idea in a simple clutch. The front and back are one continuous piece of leather…stamped with an old city map. As if to say, “I know these streets so well because I have walked them over and over and over again.”

Then…from up above…comes the flap. A sudden new richness in colour, form and shape…and a pattern with bold lines and details emerges.

Renaissance now speaks, “My darling…come up higher, you’ve outgrown those roads”.
