Not quite sure why…but I have always loved stripes. There is something so alluring for me to see lines next to other lines. Even though I knew it would take more time and more stitching…I just couldn’t help myself, so decided to make something out of leather that was striped.

It was worth it.

Pure joy was moving my hands as I pieced these layers together. Hand dyed fudge brown and black, british tan, beige and shades of grey. Each layer lovingly hand stitched with a light tan thread…leading into the final finale of a rich, antique red strap closure.

this one’s spirited with a full measure of freedom…living up to her name.
