selah.
I am deeply drawn to ancient languages and Hebrew is one of them. This little word ‘selah’ can be found scattered throughout the Hebrew scriptures in its poetry and psalms. It is often placed at the end of a sentence or in between thoughts. It just stands there all by itself. It’s exact meaning seems to elude even the expert translators.
To me…even the sound of it has this easy going…softness that I like. So I choose to believe it could mean pause…rest…think on this a while…allow something to become.
