card wallets
the convertible: apple tea
the convertible: apple tea
once upon a time I was in Istanbul for a couple of weeks.
there are too many details to share here, but one standout memory is being served apple tea by every carpet shop owner that I met while strolling through the Grand Bazaar.
we sat upon stacks of gorgeous, colourful, handwoven carpets and somehow became kindred spirits with these kind, Turkish fellows.
I never did purchase a carpet, but it didn’t seem to matter to them.
this card wallet is my version of a soft top, 1968 vw beetle, convertible in card wallet form…use your imagination, it’ll show you what I mean.
it’s the littlest that holds a lot.

the leather is dark brown oil tanned cowhide and navy blue Italian vegetable tanned cowhide.
hand carved, floral, Indian stamp detailing on the closure.
